Now & Wow
The new Now & Wow opened its doors medio 2004 after having been shut for about a two years. Now situated in a huge grain silo in the south of the city, it offers a 5000m2 dance floor for the trendiest public around. Founder of the club and father of the hippest scene of the city, Ted Langenbach assures to be ahead of the rest of the clubscene every night again. Jackie’s Place
On Wednesday the 19th of January 2005, the restaurant/ club of magazine Jackie opened its doors. Rows and rows of fancy cars showed the interest in Jackie’s Place. In over a year, the space underneath the Willemsbridge, at the Maasboulevard, was transfomed into a classy and chique club, where one can eat, dance, lounge, network and socialize. With a nice mix of r&b/ hip hop, oldies, dance, lounge and top 40. Your first time at Jackie’s will turn out to be a journey of discovery; various halls, walk throughs, stairs going up and down towards more rooms. Although a lot of Amsterdam at the grand opening, it has to be Rotterdam who must make sure to keep this place a hot spot. But Jackie’s is, no matter what, a compliment for Rotterdam. Every first Friday evening of the month, the attractive bar-restaurant Rosso is converted into a somewhat unusual night club. As the guests are at the ‘digestif’ stage, the DJ starts to mix his first cautious mellow beats at the turntables.
